Description

Zhanaarkinsky district (kaz. Zhanaarka audany) is a district in Central Kazakhstan, part of the Karaganda region. Administrative center - pos. Atasu. The district is divided into 12 rural districts. On the territory of the district are the ruins of the Aktau fort destroyed by Khan Kenesary. On the territory of the region there are Aksai steles (Syntasy) - a group of monuments of the Bronze Age (11-9 centuries BC) and the Ayushat cave.

Ulytau district is a district in the west of the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The administrative center is the village of Ulytau. The area is named after the mountains of the same name. Description

Zhezkazgan is a city of regional subordination of the Karaganda region. It is located in the Kara-Kengir river basin. The territory of the city is 1.8 thousand sq. km. It was founded in 1939 as the working settlement of Kengir, in 1941 it was renamed into Big Dzhezkazgan. On December 20, 1954, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, the working settlement of Bolshoi Dzhezkazgan received the status of a city. The largest metallurgy center of the country. The city has direct rail links with such cities as Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, and road links with Kyzylorda and Karaganda.
