Aktobe region

Aktobe region has great economic and strategic importance for Kazakhstan. Historically, the Aktobe region was formed and developed as a border region, located at the junction of Europe and Asia, at the junction of cultures. Description

Aitekebyi district is an administrative-territorial unit of the second level in the North-East of the Aktobe region. Founded in 1966 as a Komsomol district. In 1993, was renamed to Bogetkol district. In 17th June of 1997, by the decree of the President of Kazakhstan, Bogetkoldistrict was renamed to Aitekebi district. In 1993-1997 the name «Aitekebyi district» was of Karabutakskoe district. The administrative center — the Komsomolsk village. The population of the district 25 of 425 people (as of July 1, 2017). The North-Western part of the area is occupied by the Mugodzhary mountains. The climate is continental. Average temperature in January -17°C, in July +22°C. Through the territory of the district from North to South flows the river Irgiz, with its tributaries Karabutak, Kairakty, Sholak-Kayrakty, Ulytaldyk, Balagaldyk etc. Wormwood, reed, karagan, etc grow on the landscape. There live such animals as fox, corsac, hare, wolf, badger, and birds — goose, duck, eagle, owl etc. Main directions of agriculture: cattle breeding, sheep breeding, horse breeding and cultivation of grain crops. In 2003, railway line Khromtau — Altynsarin was laid. Moreover, the Northern part of the district crosses the Russian railway Orsk-Ushkatty.

Description

The Alga district is a territorial unit in the Aktobe region. The area of the district is 7,5 thousand square meters. The administrative center of the district is Alga city. It was Formed in 1933 as the strategic District. In 1963, it was renamed to Alga District. The district is located in the north of the region. Borders with Khromtau, Mugalzhar, Temir, Khobda and Martuk districts, as well as with the territory of Aktobe municipal administration. The climate is sharply continental. An average temperature in January is -15 ° C, in July + 22 ° C. The Ilek, Kara-Khobda, Sary-Khobda rivers flow through district territory. The district is divided into 13 administrative-territorial couties, where 12 rural and 1 urban counties are organized, including Bestamak, Karakhobda, Ushkudyk, Key, Beskopa, Tamdy, Akay, Marzhanbulak, Karabulak, Karakudyk, Tokmansai, Karagash, Sarykhobda rural counties and Alga municipal county. In the district center a chemical plant that produced phosphorus fertilizers and microfertilizers from the ores of the Aktobe phosphorite basin has worked until the end of the 1990s. The railway and the highway «Aktobe-Astrakhan» pass through the Alga district.

Description

Bayganin district is an administrative unit in the south-west of the Aktobe region. Named after akyn Nurpeys Bayganin. The administrative center of the district is the Karauylkeldy village. The population of the district is 22719 people (as for the July 1, 2017). The relief of the territory is a hilly plain, which adjusts to the Caspian lowlandin the west, the mountains of Mugalzharyin the east. The southern part of the district is occupied by the mountain of Donyztau and the Shagyriai plateau. The climate is continental. The average temperature of January is -10°C, July +25°C. The northern part of the district is occupied by semi - deserts, the southern part - by deserts. Rivers: Emba, Saghyz. Lakes: Sorkol, Togyskan, Mynzhasar. Numerous small rivers dry out in the summer. Description

The Irgiz region is located in the Aktobe region. The center of the district is the village Irgiz. The population of the region is 15 131 people (as of the first half of 2017). In the Irgiz district there are settlements Zhaisanbai, Zhanakurylys, Irgiz, Kalalykol, Kalybai, Kirovo, Komintern, Kuilys, Kumtogai, Kurylys, Kyzyl partisans, Nura, Telman, Shenberttal. For the first time Irgiz district was formed on May 26, 1921 in the Aktobe province by the reformation of the Irgiz uyezd. August 15, 1922 Irgiz district was reorganized back to Irgiz uyezd. Secondly Irgiz district was established in 1928 as part of the Aktobe district. The area is located far from the oceans and high altitude systems. In winter the region is under the influence of the Siberian anticyclone, in the summer it is hot, the subtropical dry air freely penetrates. The climate is dry continental.

Kargaly district was founded in 1966 as Lenin district. On the June 17, 1997 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lenin district was renamed to Kargaly. The population is 17,167 people (as of July 1, 2017). The area of the territory is 5000 km2. The center of the district is the Badamsha village. The Kargaly district consists of 8 rural counties: Alimbet, Ashelisay, Velikhova, Zheltau, Kempirsay, Kos-Istek, Stepan and rural Badamsha county. The climate of the region is sharply continental. The terrain is flat, a large part of the territory is a hilly and steep plain. In the north there to cafed are the southern spurs of the Ural Mountains. Description

Khromtau district is an administrative territorial unit in the north of the Aktobe region. It borders on the Orenburg region of Russia. Through the district passes the interstate highway Tashkent-Uralsk and the Orsk-Kandyagash railway line. The district was founded in 1939 as Novorossiysk. Under this name, it lasted until 1993. The population of the region is 42 301 (as of July 1, 2017). The main wealth of the area is considered the fields of chromium. Here is the second largest field of chromite ore in the world, mining of which is carried out both mine and career. Actually, the city of Khromtau owes it to both origin and name. However, agriculture is also well developed in the region, and cattle breeding too, like for many centuries, dominates agriculture.

Description

The Martuk district is located in the northern part of the Aktobe region, in the north it borders on the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation. The center of the district is the Martuk village. Martuk District was founded on February 16, 1935. The area of the district is 6605.3 sq km. The population of the district is 30 135 people (as of July 1, 2017). The special beauty of the region is made up of small massifs of beech alder, mixed coniferous, and pine forest. As well as relict forests of the Shevchenko village outskirts, this is the only place in the region where relics of the tertiary period of lady fern natural boundary – forests, birch-aspen pegs. The secured area is 7 hectares. The category of the nature monument is zoological. The region is characterized by the largest variety of birds, 200 of which are nesting around 160 in the area, during the seasonal migrations there are red-breasted goose, small swan, golden eagle, and peregrine falcon.

Mugalzhar district is located in the Aktobe region. The administrative center of the district is the city Kandyagash. The region was formed in 1997 on June 17 as a result of the unification of the Mugalzhar and Oktyabrsk districts, and occupies the territory of 27.8 thousand km2. Mugalzhar district is located in the central part of the region, it borders with Alga and Khromtau districtsin the north, Baiganin and Shalkar districtsin the south,Temir districtin the west and with Aitekebi districtin the east. The population of the region is 67,023 - for August 1, 2017. The district center of Kandyagash is located at a distance of 90 km from the regional center. The administrative-territorial composition of the Mugalzhar district includes 3 cities: Kandyagash, Emba, Gem and 12 rural counties: Akkemir, Ashisai, Batpakkol, Yeghindibulak, Enbek, Zhurun, K. Zhubanov, Kayindy, Kumzhargan, Kumsay, Taldysai and the Mugalzhar village, where 38 rural settlements are situated. The name of the region is given over the mountains of Mugodzhary (Mugalzhar). There is the Ashshisai oil and gas fieldin the territory of the district Ashisai.

Description

Shalkar District is the administrative district of the Aktobe region. The center of the district is city Shalkar. Chelkarskiy district was formed in the Aktobe province on October 21, 1921. On March 10, 2000 by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan the transcription of the name of the «Chelkarskiy» district in Russian was changed to the Shalkar district. The population of the region is 45 883 people (as of July 1, 2017). In the Shalkar district there are settlements Akkaytym, Baykadam, Begimbet, Birshogyr, Bozoy, Zhyltyr, Monke Bi, Karatogai, Kauylzhyr, Kotyrtas, Soleny, Togyz, Shalkar, Shilikty.

Temir district is located in Aktobe region. The administrative center of the district is the Shubarkuduk village. The Temir district was established in 1972. The population of the district is 37 654 - (for July 1, 2017) In the Temir district there are settlements - Altykarasu, Shigyrly, Zhambyl, Birlik, Kenkiyak, Kopa, Kumkuduk, Neftyanik, Aksai, Tuskopa, Temir, Shubarkuduk, Shubarshi. Significant income to the local treasury is brought by railway enterprises. The Temir district is referred to the young territorial administrative formations. The Uyil district is an administrative-territorial unit of the second level in the west of the Aktobe region. The administrative center of the district is the Uyil village. For the first time, the Uyil district was formed in the Aktobe province on November 19, 1921 on the basis of the Uyil uyezd and on July 27, 1922 it was abolished. The Uyil district consists of 7 rural counties, in which there are 22 villages. The population (as for January 1, 2016) is 18,680. The climate is continental. The average temperature in January is 14 -16 ° C, in July - 22-24 ° C. On the territory of the region the river Uyil flows with tributaries Aschyoyl, Kyl, Kayndy and others. Significant reserves of groundwater are in the sands of Barkan and pine forests.
